Thank you for doing a giveaway and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
For me, I think it’s the baking. Hubby and I both love to bake so spending time together in the kitchen is a great blessing for me. The baking leads up to the goodie boxes that we give to friends, family, those shut in, those that have helped us through the year and some just random ones. It’s a tradition my mom started way back when I was a child. It means while baking and preparing (many of her recipes), I can feel her beside me happy that we are continuing the tradition. I look forward to delivering them too. Mom use to say that sometimes the best gift was of ones time so on drop off and go boxes for me either. I enjoy catching up with people, finding out what’s going on in their lives and listening to see if there’s something else I might be able to do to lift a burden or bring a smile.

Being with my family one more time is always a true blessing! I also look forward to our Christmas program at church. The story and music are usually the same but none of it grows old, because the message just keeps getting sweeter! And, watching precious children portray sheep, donkeys, shepherds, wise men, and angels makes it even more special. I always say that this program is the beginning of my Christmas season!
This Christmas, I’m most looking forward to peace and rest—quiet moments to breathe, slow down, and remember the goodness of God in the midst of it all.
